Students learned today about the shelosha regalim ("three festivals") - Pesach, Sukkot, and Shavuot - mentioned in this week's parsha.

These holidays are unusually festive and significant because they bear a special obligation to ascend to Jerusalem ("aliyah la-regel") to celebrate the festival in the Beit HaMikdash.
