The Sanhedrin

In our Mishna studies, we've turned our attention to the Sanhedrin, the ancient Jewish legal council.

In this unit, students will:

• identify the three types of Sanhedrin and their respective functions
• categorize various legal matters according to each type of Sanhedrin
• apply their knowledge of the three types of Sanhedrin using "current events"
• create a hypothetical court case that might be presented before the Sanhedrin
