We learned about the structure of the Shemonah Esrei, its history and some basic laws as part of a new unit devoted to a better understanding of the daily Amidah.
Students learned about the three components of the Amidah (praise, request, thanks) and will focus on the meaning of specific prayers in the Amidah next week.
