Skills and Ideas

At conferences, I mentioned to you that Chumash instruction will now place a greater emphasis on skills acquisition and text-based learning. Today, we began to work towards those goals as students studied a portion of our parsha (in guided partner study) from "inside" the Chumash and then practiced skill-building as they learned two new words and ways to conjugate them in different tenses.

This skills process will complement the learning that is taking place with Israel Rov in Hebrew Language.

The lesson finished with some commentaries (studied "off text") on the passage.
