New in Kosher Explorers: Kosher Animals

Students began the second component of their Kosher Explorers unit, focusing on the subject of kosher animals, fish and birds.

In this unit, students will learn:

• the qualifications for kosher status in animals, fish and birds
• 'exotic' kosher animals
• the Torah's criteria for determining a kosher bird and its applications for interpersonal relationships

Students will add to thier growing portfolios information related to the unit, including:

• pictures of kosher and non-kosher animals, fish and birds
• a PowerPoint assignment (that will eventually surface at the Mitzvah Fair in May)
