Students learn from a kosher pro

4th graders learned about the real-life applications of their Kosher Explorers unit on kashrut when Rabbi Sholey Klein of the Va’ad HaKashruth of Dallas (Dallas Kosher) visited their classroom this week. Rabbi Klein spoke about issues related to certifying restaurants and production plants as kosher. The students asked wonderful questions that revealed their mastery of some of kashrut’s more complicated topics. A kosher time was had by all!
