"Man is like the tree of the field" (Mishlei/Proverbs).
Students wrote short creative responses to this pasuk about the ways in which they are similar to trees. Their ideas were amazing - come and take a look at their work outside our classroom!
Students also received bags of fruit containing some of the shivat ha-minim (seven species).
Finally, we reviewed a mishna (Brachot 6:5) that we studied several months back in our brachot unit that discusses whether fruits belonging to the shivat ha-minim receive priority over other foods when determining which blessing to recite first.
