While the subject matter of this new sefer doesn't appear to be relevant to today's times (when was the last time you offered a sacrifice?), students unearthed the timelessness of the topic by understanding that the korbanot (sacrifices) creep up in many ways:

• They serve as the basis for tefilla times - we pray three times daily because three communal offerings were made at these junctures.
• We recite the mussaf prayer to compensate for the mussaf offering made on Shabbat and festivals.
