Pesach begins with "B"

Our introduction to Pesach brings to us to the three B's of fulfilling the Torah's commandment to "destroy" ("tashbitu") chametz from our midst. They include bedikah (searching for chametz), bittul (nullifying chametz) and bi'ur (eventual removal of chametz through burning or some other means).

Students learned about the three-pronged process of tashbitu, practiced identifying each stage given a set of clues, and will prepare a "bedikah hot spot" list to help alert them to places where chametz may be stored.
