Tza'rat - a skin blemish worthy of the dermatologist? Hardly.
Students examined the weekly parsha (this week, there are two) from the perspective of "communication" - how our words can hurt or heal. Evil speech is the cause of the leper's skin malaise. Students studied the sequence of the metzora's joruney back from leprosy through a timeline and group-study of several snapshots from the parsha.
We are laying the groundwork for a min-unit next week called "The Power of our Words," devoted to the laws of lashon hara and dibur yafeh.
