We continue to reinforce the subject of the six sedarim (orders) of Mishna. Students today responded to a worksheet that measured their knowledge of the content of each seder, and, conversely, their ability to identify an unnamed seder given only topic from that seder.
On Monday, students will further extend their knowledge through an interactive activity in which the class must find their "match" - one set will have names of various mesechtot (tractates), while another will have the titles of the sedarim to which these tractates belong.
Also next week, we'll begin a popular series called "Know Your Nasi, a unit on the nesi'im (leaders) from Mishnaic times.
