Mitzvah Madness

The Torah shifts gears in Parshat Mishpatim with a greater focus on the some of broadest categories that establish the framework for the 613 mitzvot, including:

• mitzvot bein adam la-Makom (commandments that enhance our relationship with God)
• mitzvot bein adam la-chaveiro (commandments that enhance interpersonal relationships)
• mitzvot lo ta'aseh and aseh ('positive' and 'negative' commandments)

Students were asked to classify a series of mitzvot to better understand the scope of the Torah's commandments.
