Pirkei Palooza

In the period between Pesach and Shavuot, Jews around the world study the mishnayot of Pirkei Avot, a collection of moral/ethical teachings. In our class, we'll do the same - with some important modifications:

• Our study of Avot will not proceed sequentially, but thematically (mishnayot will be introduced by topic)
• Students will keep a journal in which they will record the particular ethic (in Hebrew, with translation), its lesson (provided during instruction), and application to daily life (determined by each student on an individual basis). These journals will serve as a record-keeper for ideas and values that emerge from our study of Pirkei Avot.
